1. Information We Collect via TikTok API

To provide our analytics services, ClipScore requests access to your TikTok account data via the TikTok Marketing API. We only collect the minimum data necessary to generate your performance metrics and engagement reports, including:

  • Video Metadata: Video IDs, titles, and timestamps.
  • Performance Metrics: Total view counts, 3-second play counts (play_over_3s_count), and completion rates.
  • Basic Profile Info: Your TikTok display name and avatar.

2. Information We Collect via Instagram (Meta) API

ClipScore also integrates with Instagram via the Meta Graph API to provide analytics for Instagram Business and Creator accounts. We request the following permissions and data:

  • Basic Profile Information: Your Instagram username, profile picture, account type, and follower count.
  • Media Data: Information about your Instagram Reels and posts, including media IDs, captions, timestamps, media type, and thumbnail URLs.
  • Insights and Metrics: Performance data for your content including reach, impressions, engagement, plays, likes, comments, shares, and saves.

Important: Instagram integration requires a Business or Creator account. Personal Instagram accounts cannot be connected due to Meta API limitations.

3. Information We Collect via YouTube API

ClipScore uses YouTube API Services to provide analytics for your YouTube channel. By connecting your YouTube account, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. We request access to:

  • Channel Information: Your channel name, profile picture, and subscriber count.
  • Video Data: Video titles, descriptions, thumbnails, publish dates, and duration.
  • Analytics Data: Views, likes, comments, shares, watch time, average view duration, and audience retention metrics via the YouTube Analytics API.

Google Privacy Policy: ClipScore' use of information received from YouTube APIs adheres to the Google Privacy Policy.

4. How We Use Your Data

The data retrieved from TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube is used exclusively to:

  • Calculate your performance scores and analytics.
  • Provide historical performance benchmarks and trends.
  • Personalize your creator dashboard with platform-specific insights.
  • Generate AI-powered recommendations to improve your content strategy.

We do not access private messages, contact lists, direct messages, or non-public account settings on any platform.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Retention: We store your TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube performance data only as long as your ClipScore account is active. Data is refreshed periodically to ensure accuracy.

Deletion: Upon account deletion, all synced data from TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube is permanently purged from our servers within 48 hours.

TikTok Revocation: You can revoke ClipScore' access at any time via your TikTok app under Settings and Privacy > Security and Login > Manage App Permissions.

Instagram Revocation: You can revoke ClipScore' access at any time via Instagram Settings > Apps and Websites > Active, or through your Meta Account Center under Security > Apps and Websites.

YouTube Revocation: You can revoke ClipScore' access at any time via your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Find ClipScore in the list and click "Remove Access".

6. No Third-Party Sharing

ClipScore does not sell, rent, or trade your TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube data to third-party advertisers or data brokers. All data processing is strictly for the purpose of providing your analytics dashboard. We comply with TikTok's, Meta's, and Google's platform policies regarding data usage and user privacy.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure token storage, and regular security audits. Access tokens are stored securely and are only used to retrieve your analytics data from the respective platforms.
